Discovering Art at National Museum Wales
Book now

Combining film and live facilitation, this workshop introduces learners to the art galleries with a focus on Welsh Landscape art and artists. Learners will consider how the Welsh landscape has inspired artists. You will analyse some key Welsh landscapes, question evidence and develop vocabulary to describe and respond to artwork. Pupils will also have the opportunity think about art technique, style, composition and the use of light and colour.

The session lasts about 45 minutes and involves watching pre-recorded content and taking part in a live facilitated workshop. Digital resources complement each workshop and can be used either before or after the session. The session wil be held on Microsoft Teams, but don’t worry if you don’t have Microsoft Teams – you can still take part!

This workshop, for up to 30 pupils, is free of charge to schools.
